Éirimiúil in the Irish means Intelligent. Éirimiúil Games offers numerous games that are intentionally designed to require the Players to do the thinking, NOT the computers. We believe that in this day of modern video games and automated systems, the act of "thinking" is diminishing, and that automation takes away a lot of the thrill and challenge of the game. Automation of game play can stifle a player's creativity of thinking, and can reduce the player's 'investment' in the game. In Éirimiúil Games a player must think in order to find the best strategies and moves, and to not make wrong, or even illegal, moves. Under this scenario the player's opponent must also think and pay attention to game play, and maintain an awareness of the rules of game play. This is truly REAL game play without the 'safety net' of the computer guiding and judging and allowing or disallowing each move.
To this end Éirimiúil Games is offering an ever expanding selection of games that are lightly scripted for playability and enjoyment, but rely on the players intelligence to actually play these games.
In addition to our offerings of traditional games, it is our goal also to introduce players to games they may not have had the opportunity to play before. In some cases these games are modern variations of traditional games, in other cases we are offering games of great antiquity.
All games are very playable and include instructions on game play, strategy guides, history of the game, and links to more information about the specific game.
